Alabama Association for Justice Announces Inaugural ELITE Leadership Academy Class

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama Association for Justice is proud to announce the participants of its inaugural ELITE (Empowering Leaders in Training & Education) Leadership Academy class.


The mission of the ELITE Leadership Academy is to engage a diverse network of lawyers with knowledge, skills, and values necessary to provide leadership in their profession and communities and further the cause of the Seventh Amendment. Participants are in good standing with the Alabama State Bar, are ALAJ members in good standing, and are active members of the Emerging Leaders or practicing 15 years or less. Julianne Boydstun, Cory Watson Attorneys

Julianne Boydstun is an associate at Cory Watson Attorneys in the firm’s Birmingham office. After receiving a degree in Ballet from Texas Christian University and dancing professionally with both Ballet Arkansas and the Alabama Ballet, Julianne received her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law. Since graduating in 2019, Julianne has focused her practice on personal injury and civil rights litigation. She serves on the Young Lawyers Executive Committee for the Alabama State Bar and enjoys volunteering with Cumberland’s moot court and trial advocacy programs.

Zachary Guyse, Wolfe, Jones, Wolfe, Hancock, Daniel & South, LLC

Zach Guyse is a partner with Wolfe, Jones, Wolfe, Hancock, Daniel & South, LLC in Huntsville, Alabama. Zach became the first lawyer in his family after he earned his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law. He represents clients in personal injury cases and real estate litigation statewide. He is active in the Huntsville Bar Association and is currently President-Elect of the Young Lawyers Section. Zach lives in Athens with his wife, Marie, and three rowdy children, Theodore, Adelaide, and Rigby.

Jenna Jayjohn York, Cunningham Bounds, LLC

Jenna Jayjohn York practices in the areas of automobile and trucking accidents, premises liability, products liability, industrial accidents, medical malpractice, and fraud at Cunningham Bounds in Mobile, Alabama. Since starting her practice in 2019, Jenna has tried multiple cases that resulted in cumulative awards of over $2.6 million and recovered over $5.5 million in confidential settlements for her clients. Jenna graduated in the top 8% of her class at Cumberland School of Law, where she served as the Associate Editor of the Cumberland Law Review and was elected Vice President of the Student Bar Association.

Jake Jondle, Morgan & Morgan

Jake Jondle is a litigation attorney with Morgan & Morgan in Birmingham, who focuses his practice on personal injury and wrongful death cases. An experienced trial lawyer with more than 50 first-chair jury trials, Jake began his career as a deputy district attorney prosecuting driving under the influence, attempted murder, and hate crime cases. He was twice awarded by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) for his work prosecuting cases on behalf of the victims of drunk and impaired drivers. While in law school, Jake was a member of the Trial Practice Honors Board and the UC Davis Law Review.

Gavin King, Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles, P.C.

Gavin King is an associate at Beasley Allen Law where he currently represents a variety of plaintiffs, primarily in the area of toxic exposure. The Opelika native completed his undergraduate degree at Mississippi State University and earned his law degree at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. Gavin is a member of the Alabama Association for Justice where he is a member of Emerging Leaders. He also serves on the Executive Committees for the Young Lawyers Sections of both the Alabama State Bar and the Montgomery County Bar. He and his wife Erica recently adopted their first daughter. The Kings make their home in Montgomery. Outside of work, Gavin enjoys following Mississippi State athletics and hunting with his bird dog, Judge.

Jon Mann, Pittman, Dutton, Hellums, Bradley & Mann, P.C.

Jon Mann is an attorney at Pittman, Dutton, Hellums, Bradley & Mann and focuses his practice on personal injury, wrongful death, mass torts, and class actions. He has previously been appointed and served on several Alabama State Bar committees including the Member Benefits Committee and the Diversity and Inclusion in the Profession Committee. In his free time, he enjoys coaching his three daughters’ sports and spending time outdoors and on the water.


Ryan Myers, Belt & Bruner, P.C.

Ryan Myers is a trial lawyer with Belt, Bruner, & Barnett P.C. and practices in the areas of wrongful death, personal injury, defective products, medical malpractice, vicious dogs, and funeral home negligence. He received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Auburn University in 2009, and he graduated magna cum laude from Cumberland School of Law in 2013. He is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts in Alabama, and the United States District Court District of Colorado. He is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association and the Alabama Association of Justice.

Corbin Potter, Mann & Potter, P.C.

Corbin Potter is an associate at Mann & Potter, P.C. in Birmingham. His practice focuses on representing plaintiffs in civil litigation including personal injury, wrongful death, and medical malpractice. He is a graduate of Auburn University and Cumberland School of Law.







Brandy Robertson, Heninger Garrison Davis, LLC

Brandy Robertson is a partner in Heninger Garrison Davis’s civil litigation department, representing clients who have been wronged or injured. Brandy’s practice area includes personal injury, civil sexual abuse, wrongful death, nursing home abuse/negligence, and medical malpractice matters. Brandy was recently selected to serve as the 2023 Chair-Elect for the Birmingham Bar Association - Women Lawyer’s Section. She is also 2022-2023 Committee Co-Chair for the Alabama State Bar – Quality of Life, Health and Wellness Committee. Brandy has also served as a board member since 2018 for the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation and served as their 2022 Gala Program Chair.

Dylan Scilabro, Marsh, Rickard & Bryan, P.C.

Dylan Scilabro practices at Marsh Rickard & Bryan, where he handles an array of wrongful Death and personal injury cases. A native of Huntsville, Alabama, Dylan has always been guided by his instinct, emotional awareness, and sense of right and wrong. Dylan received his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law. Upon graduation, Dylan was nominated by Cumberland and selected by a national committee as one of the nation's Top Guns in trial advocacy, joining the preeminent ranks as only one of sixteen advocates chosen.

Xenia Solano Rigby, Abogados Centro Legal

Xenia Solano Rigby is an attorney at Abogados Centro Legal and practices in personal injury and workers’ compensation. She is from the Dominican Republic and uses her fluency in both Spanish and English to respond to client's needs. In addition to her LL.B., she has an LL.M. in American Legal System from Mississippi College School of Law. Before becoming an attorney, she worked for several years as a paralegal in New York City, focusing on workers’ compensation. She assisted clients in work related accidents. Her passion to assist others grew, as did her urge to become an attorney.


Jessica Zorn, Farris, Riley & Pitt, LLP

Jessica M. Zorn has practiced at Farris, Riley & Pitt, since 2014, where her practice focuses on outrage claims, wrongful death, commercial trucking litigation, insurance disputes, and railroad injury cases. She graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2016 and has litigated civil personal injury cases in state, federal, and appeals courts throughout Alabama and Georgia. She serves as an executive board member for East Lake Community Development, Inc. (a nonprofit low-income housing organization) and has been a member of the Young Leadership Committee for the Birmingham chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation since 2019. Jessica was recognized as a Top Women Attorney in 2022 by B-Metro Magazine.

The mission of the Alabama Association for Justice is to preserve and protect the constitutional right to a trial by jury guaranteed by the Seventh Amendment to the United States Constitution by ensuring that every person or business harmed or injured by the misconduct or negligence of others can hold wrongdoers accountable in the one room where everyone is equal – the courtroom.
